Hi and Happy Halloween! Thought I’d share three very different looks I’m favoring right now, in no particular order.
Look 1: The Pink Lady.
I’ve been surprised to see a number of pastel pieces pop up across fall collections this season — a lot of pale pinks and robin’s egg blues to mix in with your usual smattering of burgundy, brown, black, and navy. I’m especially into these yummy pink sweater looks:
Achieve the look with one of these picks:
+Ribbed from H+M ($30, #steal);
+Tie sleeves from Tibi ($495);
+Clean crewneck from ACNE (on sale for $171).
I also love this slightly-more-on-the-nude-side-of-the-pink-color-family, oversized style from Mango ($69); this affordable find from ASOS ($41); and this gorgeous, perfect-shade-of-peony-pink DVF ($328).
LOOK 2: The Avant Garde Gown.
I was SO struck by these stunning pics of Juliet Angus (of Bravo’s Ladies of London fame) in this very risque Burberry gown (on sale for a mere $2000). If you click the link, the dress is actually lined — she must have cut out her lining or something — but I cannot get over how gorgeous she looks. I love the cut of the gown and the stunning burgundy color.
Channel the look yourself with this MISA velvet dress ($238), this slinky velvet slip dress ($329), this black applique flower stunner ($360), or this oxblood charmeuse gown ($398).
LOOK 3: Culottes.
Culottes have been such a huge part of the street style scene over the past few seasons. Some chic examples:
Slightly intimidating, yes, but ohsochiccccc. I want to recreate with a fair isle sweater ($50), these Tibi culottes ($395), and these epic ankle-wrap, tassel-accented suede pumps from Joie ($298).
I also think a look with a lace top ($50!!! — looks so Self-Portrait-y!); black culottes (same Tibi set above, $395); some tassels ($54); and some ballet-inspired lace-up heels ($325) would be pret-ty epic. Love mixing black and navy together for a midnight look.
Either of these looks would be SPOT ON with that velvet embroidered clutch I mentioned last week ($98).
